Lux Mundi: the Light of the World. No better term could be used to describe the life and mission of the Messiah, Yeshua. The greatest tenet of Christian belief is the story of He who being God made himself into man, dwelled among us, lived a life as a man of sorrows acquainted with grief, and died a gruesome death: the price paid for the forgiveness of the sins of us all. The impact of His life in our world was such that history was divided in before and after Him. But even greater were the implications of His life and death to eternity. Through His sacrifice He accomplished the reconciliation of mankind with God, and brought salvation to each and every one who would believe.

Lux Mundi is the first part of a trilogy of modern oratorios for the Holy Week. It's ideal for Palm Sunday, being followed by Tenebrae which in turn is suitable for Good Friday, and the the last part Aurora, which represents Easter morning. All three works might as well be performed together in one single concert, being roughly the length of Handel's Messiah, or individually during the Easter season.
