          This piece was developed originally as a soundtrack to the silent movie "Le Spectre Rouge", and adapted later to a concert version. The burlesque themes portrait early cinematic music clichés and are developed under a large structure which is what make the piece stand for itself independent of the film. These textures are purposely contrasting and they promote extreme mood changes back and forth drastically fast, and what was initially an artifact to promote action to support the scene has become the factor that gives name to the piece. Ultimately, the Tragicomic Suite promotes a crazy ride into a black and white bipolar world.
